In this class we move to cultivate a deep inner awareness that can influence multiple dimensions of our beings in ways that can bring us peace, inner stillness and a strong well-balanced center from which to live our lives. There are many styles of Qi Gong, many methods and many different focuses. This class utilizes Qi Gong as a method for opening the Heart and moving into a deeply embodied state.

 

You are invited to explore and learn to sense and feel the deep energetic terrain of your body, of your being and of the space you are moving through. The class includes a warm up series, self treatment exercises that may be applicable to individual issues that are current in students’ bodies that may affect their ability to move comfortably, as well as various qi gong forms which are used as vehicles for awakening the capacity for deep presence and awareness rooted in our embodied state.

 

Qi Gong involves the meridian system used in acupuncture and emphasizes the importance of adding mindful intention and breathing techniques to our physical movements. When these dimensions are added, the benefits of our movement increase exponentially.

The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qi Gong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, enhance the immune system and invite you to open to spirit.

As a guide in this energetic exploration Linda brings over 30 years of experience as a Movement Therapist and Licensed Acupuncturist who has practiced Qi Gong for 15 years and has taught for the last 5.

 

This is a drop in, all levels class with a sliding scale of $10 – $15
